What to Expect
Below you will find a list of potential physiological responses you may experiences:
Potential Kambo Responses
Increased Heart Rate
Increased Blood Pressure for several minutes
Pounding Sensation in the Heart and Head
Flushed skin
Sweating
Minor swelling in extremities and face
Shaking (shivering)
Tingling
Buzzing
Vibrating sensation
Nausea and Stomach Discomfort
fainting, low blood pressure
purging (vomiting)
Urge to have a bowel Movement
*Purging will come In many forms. Vomiting, Bowel movement, emotional Expression, Somatic Release (shaking/shivering).
These responses are common experiences. if there are any responses or concerns outside of these normal responses the kambo will be removed and the body will reset.
Pre-Ceremony Consultation
Consultations May take place over the phone in the days leading up to the ceremony or in person on the day of. During the consultation, we will discuss what you would like to get from your Kambo experience. This Consultation is the beginning process of the consciousness work you can do with Kambo. Often patterns of behaviors, unresolved traumas or emotions, and even physical ailments will surface leading up to the ceremony. During the consultation, we will discuss appropriate treatment and point placement.
Pre-Ceremony Preparation
Refrain from using any drugs or alcohol in the days leading up to the ceremony.
Refrain from fasting the week before the ceremony. Kambo likes food
Refrain from sexual intimacy with others and self 3 days before and after.
Going into silence the night before and the morning of the ceremony is encouraged
An 8-10 hour Dry fast before the ceremony is required. *if you need to have something, a small cup of herbal tea 2-3 hours before is ok.
Ceremony
Smoke cleansing, opening prayer/invocation, and/or grounding
burning and opening the gates
Water protocol (determined by treatment)
Point placement
Time with Kambo on 20-40 minutes (water protocol during the treatment to facilitate the purge)
*Hape or Sananga may be used to help clear any blockages during the process
Kambo will be removed when you feel complete
rest as needed after the treatment.

AFTERCARE
Post-Ceremony After Care
After the treatment, the gates will be dressed with dragons blood (Sangre De Drago). Dragons blood is a medicinal tree sap used to stop bleeding, accelerate healing, reduce scarring, and close wounds by forming a protective, flexible liquid bandage. Dragons blood has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.

Do not place ointment or oils
Gently wash with soap
Pat dry
Gates will scab and fall off naturally like a tattoo
If your gates become infected, they can be cleaned with warm salt water and expressed. Please contact practitioner if they become infected.
Re-hydrating and Feeding
After treatment, tea and food will be available. It is essential to replace electrolytes through nutrition and hydration. If any of the following occur, contact your practitioner.
Nausea and Vomiting (repeatedly after the treatment is over).
Headache (over and above the regular Kambo tension/toxin release).
Cognitive Impairment
Loss of energy and drowsiness; restlessness and irritability; muscle weakness
